Circuit Exercise-7: Solution

Question:

Assme that we need to light a 200-watt light bulb.
And assume an average rate of cost of 20 cents per kilowatt-hour.
Determine the total energy and cost for seven days.

Solution:

Energy = power × time = 200 W × 24 h × 7 h = 33,600 Wh = 33.6 kWh
Cost = energy used × rate of cost = 33.6 kWh × 20 cents / kWh = 672 cents.
